Thanks and appreciation.

James,
As someone who is old enough to remember when television came in only two colours (black and white) I'd like to say a big THANKS MATE to you and Paul. I have only just parted company, very reluctantly, with my trusty Canon Starwriter. Getting a grip on the modern technology wasn't something I looked forward to, but your help has made it a lot easier.
Apart from the problem with jumping print I had last week I was also having trouble with getting pages numbered. I downloaded the tutorial on the subject and it's answered all my questions.
Again, thanks.

I am sure many other oooforum.org users will register here as that site becomes choked with spam. Is there any chance of sub-boards here for individual OOo components, like Writer, Calc, Base, etc?

Also, if there is a mass migration from the other site, could we maybe contribute to defraying expenses generated by extra traffic here?

Yes I've noticed the spam over there. I used to be fairly active over there, but have been too busy over the past few months, each time I have visited there's been quite a lot of spam! Spam is a problem here too :(

We try to keep on top of it with various methods, but it does take quite a bit of time :x

We have considered sub-boards in the past. I don't think we'll be adding them yet, but if/when there is greater demand for them we may re-visit the idea.

Thanks for the idea about defraying expenses (which would be welcome), perhaps we can add a small "contribute" button on the forums somewhere at a later date.

BFN,
James :)

Hi James,

Just a small request : is it possible to activate the address bar icon (in the web browser) for the forum section also ? There is no icon associated whereas the other sections of the site have their little "8" pic.

Thanks

I guess spam is everywhere these days.
I am writing in other forums (thereeftank.com), (jemsite.com) and they have the same problem too.
Some of them use a report option so others can report a spam topic to the admin asap .... I guess you should consider it too.
One more thing it is the best thing not to answer any spam nor click on it.

Really easy to use, reminded me of things I needed to think about ordering. Clean, clear, simple. Good design.
