When installed, OpenOffice.org will appear in your list of programs (I have dragged the 'From Template' & 'Open Document' shortcuts into these positions, they are initially in alphabetical order): |

OpenOffice.org was written as an Office suite (in contrast to individual
programs being 'bolted together'). This means that the applications are fully
integrated and once you've learned to use one, you can use the others easily
(see The Suite Advantage).
You can edit HTML documents using Writer and view the HTML source too. These screen shots show the writer tool bars and the html editing page and html source page (while this page was originally under construction): |
